A short biography–
Lawrence G. Desmond who writes this blog received an MA in anthropology from the Universidad de las Americas in Cholula, Mexico, and a Ph.D. in anthropology and archaeology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. He has carried out ethnographic, archaeological, and heritage preservation projects in Mexico for more than 30 years, and published numerous articles and two books. He is a Senior Research Fellow in Archaeology with the Moses Mesoamerican Archive and Research Project at Harvard University, and a Research Associate with the Department of Anthropology at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco.
